Initial release
Introducing Orkestra
- Projects and workspaces. Create, clone, or bulk-import repositories; organize projects into groups and multiple workbenches. Arrange terminals, tasks, and files on a canvas with docking, focus mode, tidy layouts, and minimap navigation.
- Agents and task workflows. Work with Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Antigravity, DeepSeek, and Hermes. Combine custom launchers, model and permission settings, task boards, Markdown descriptions, and individual or grouped launches in your repository or separate worktrees.
- Agent collaboration. Full-Surface MCP gives connected agents access to tasks, terminals, files, worktrees, Git, and scheduling. Agents can launch, direct, and message one another across harnesses through the shared, visible workspace.
- Helm and automation. Manage work through the built-in assistant, with project chats and persistent memory. Schedule tasks, task groups, and recurring instructions for Helm or terminal agents, with run history and configurable controls. Scheduled work runs while Orkestra is open.
- Worktrees and version control. Prepare worktrees with declared environment files and port rules. Review diffs, stage changes, manage branches, commit, merge, rebase, resolve conflicts, browse history, and shelve unfinished changes.
- IDE integration and file workflows. Link each project to your preferred external IDE and open projects or files there directly. Set project defaults and file-type rules to route files between Orkestra, the linked IDE, and system applications. Browse and manage files, edit code and Markdown, and preview images, local HTML, diagrams, and mathematical notation.
- Continuity and recovery. Return to saved layouts, terminal output, notes, and recaps. Restore closed sessions, reconnect to conversations retained by your coding harness, and use workspace checkpoints to recover earlier workspace arrangements.
- Agent supervision and approvals. Follow agent states across projects, jump to sessions awaiting input, and manage terminal groups together. Configure approval rules and review requests with their task and terminal context.
- Budget protection and resource controls. Monitor usage and resources, configure idle sleep, and set quota, token, or estimated-cost thresholds for supported Codex and Claude Code configurations. Choose whether reaching a reported threshold sends an instruction, interrupts and messages the agent, or stops its terminal.
- Remote control and notifications. While Orkestra is running, use Telegram to inspect sessions, send instructions, talk to Helm, and answer approval requests. Desktop and sound notifications provide additional ways to follow the work.
